Description

Reworked this, took me a while to do, took out the background completely, got annoyed with it. Anyways, 100% vector, sorry for those few who commented before!

Good job, man! Great details. Did you use gradient meshes for the camo effects? I need to get into doing some of those. I think the only thing that bothers me (a tiny bit) is that piece coming out from the landing gear (closest), I can't tell if it is a shadow, or a part with too little detail/definition.
Very clean vector job nonetheless.

Its a shadow, I didnt notice it... There are no gradient meshes, I use a program called xaraX and it doesnt have meshes... so its mainly feathering and transparencies

nice work not sure if I have seen this one before
but I think the paint bush need to be with the paint cause at first I didn't know what those 2 square things were
I think the shadow for the paint brush should be on the other side 'flipped'
yes no?
the chopper it self is very well done
tossed pointes catch them!

That is excellent. I thought it was a photo of a model you were building. I must learn about vector.

As I said before, amazing work, you make the line between vector and 3D very blurry. Fantastic.

No background is just fine, but howabout a horizon line?

aa.... yesh!! nice n clean...
the bush seem a lil stiffy.. and i agree with kittykat about it's shadow..
Ever thought of making the glass bottle plain transparent instead? the ink dun seem to be inside the bottle but rather the background of this image..
Awesome vector coloring ;)

Great work!
You could add the "magic" element, the one that doesen't exist in the reality, but in the illustrator's head. I don't like the literallity.

Wow Rian. This is awesome. The details here are incredible. It looks like a photo of a toy helicopter. The white background only brings out the subject.

Since I haven't got the patience to work with details myself I always get impressed with people who does, and does it WELL! This is an impressive piece of vectors.

Stunning vector! It really does look like a photograph. Great work. The ability to create vectors completely eludes me, so very, very well done!

Whoa! Awesome. It takes me back to the days of liquid glue, airbrushes and Revell kits. The overall 'matte' plastic look and shading are particularly great.

I've never heard of xaraX before, me thinks I should check it out.

The lighting is superb.
The way the shadow hinted little details that hid from the viewer's eye.
Subtle, yet simple.

Hard to believe that a vector can be this good.

Congrats on a great piece.

Man, I used to do a lot of vector works a long time ago, but never had the patience to get that level or detail. Nice image.

I love the high level of skill you show in your images. Rendering objects in such perfection with vectors and Xara is impressive.

I've used Wara and did not found an hint on how to obtain such rendering

The only thing I'm surprised with, in your picture, is that you are able to draw awesome perspective correct object, but it seems you do not know how to position objects in the overall space... The brush is akwardly oriented, with a shadow that is not at all consistant with the chopper. Same for paint-buckets which seem to fly in the image.

I guess the image would have been better with the chopper alone ^^

anyway, still impressive chopper
